#UMCRedWing founder and Executive Director Mike Arturi is a lifelong experienced professional musician and music lover who has played with acclaimed artists such as Chuck Berry, Gary Lewis, Bo Diddley, and is a long standing member of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee band, The Lovin’ Spoonful.

As an educator, Mike is an active national artist for the John F. Kennedy Center’s Turnaround Arts, a program which brings the arts to underserved and economically challenged schools in America. He is also a teaching artist for the COMPAS program in Minnesota. Mike provides music programs and drum circles to school, corporate, and assisted living settings.

Mike started UMC out of a sincere passion for sharing his love for music and the lessons that can be learned on stage and in the practice room--lessons that cultivate skills not only for music, but for LIFE!

Meet Jeff Kelly, #UMCRedWing guitar and songwriting instructor! Jeff is an experienced musician who has worked with Ben Folds, Lera Lynn, Gaelic Storm, Jason Wilber (guitarist of John Prine), Joe Pug and many others.
